WHY THIS MATTERS

The numbers are enormous. Care still happens one person at a time.

Rewind Dementia is a family memory tool—not a medical treatment. We are building it for a world where the need for simple, dignified support keeps growing.

at a time can turn familiar photographs into moments of comfort and connection.

That is where our work begins.
MEET THE FOUNDERS

Two students. One shared commitment to community.

We are high school seniors bringing together technology, medicine, and service to build something thoughtful for families living with memory loss.

Vismay Patel

I’m Vismay Patel, a senior at John P. Stevens High School, and I plan to study Computer Engineering in college. Beyond my interest in technology, I care deeply about using my time and skills to support people in my community. As Secretary of Project Sunshine, I help organize service initiatives focused on bringing comfort, connection, and moments of joy to children and families facing difficult hospital experiences. That work has shown me how meaningful small, personal interactions can be, especially during challenging times. Rewind Dementia’s mission strongly connects with that perspective by using familiar photos, stories, and memories to help families stay connected with the people and moments that matter most.

Saurish Arora

I’m Saurish Arora, a high school senior who plans to pursue medicine. I care about the human side of health: listening carefully, showing up for people, and finding practical ways to make difficult moments feel less isolating. I co-founded Rewind Dementia because familiar photographs and family stories can create meaningful opportunities for comfort and connection. I hope to keep learning from families and care communities as we build a tool that is respectful, accessible, and grounded in genuine service.
